RULES & ELIGIBILITY


Eligibility to Submit Entries: Individuals submitting entries for the India Digital Awards 2022 should be actively involved in India on the submitted Digital Project between 1st October 2020 to 30th September 2021. The eligibility period for the ‘Best Brands for Bharat Awards’ category will be from 1st October 2020 to 30th November 2021.

Judging Process

The India Digital Awards nominees and winners are selected by judges from the best work entered through the call for entries. Judging is done in two stages:


Phase One | Pre-Screening

❖ The shortlist is decided on a pre-set criteria for the respective category.

❖ Judges evaluate and score each entry.

❖ Each campaign is screened by multiple judges.

❖ A voting system selects the highest marks given in each category.

❖ The ten entries with the highest scores become the category finalists.


Phase Two | Jury Meet

❖ Voting by Judges establishes the ranking in each category, which is the basis for the juries’ discussion.

❖ Judges evaluate the merits of each shortlisted entry to determine the category winners.

❖ Judges score each campaign from 1-10 – 1 being lowest and 10 being highest.

❖ Scores are tabulated, and entries are awarded.


Jury Panel will make the final selection of winners. If there are no suitable entries, judges may decline to appoint a winner for any category in any given year.


At all marking stages, a judge’s vote will not be counted for any entry submitted by his or her own company. The decision of the judges in all matters relating to the awards will be final and binding. India Digital Awards shall not be liable to give any explanation to anyone for disqualification of entries.


Judging Criteria

The jury shall evaluate entries based on five criteria:

i. Creativity and Innovation: Jury shall focus on few elements of the campaign like content, design, technological innovation, and the unique nature of the underlying idea. It includes writing, music, and relevant use of animation, video or anything that communicates a creative marketing message.

ii. Execution of campaign: Jury shall focus on linking the purpose and effect between objectives, strategy and results of the campaign. Additional factors to be considered shall be effective use of resources, technology and implementation of the campaign.

iii. Results of campaign: Jury shall evaluate campaign on the basis of the results of the campaign based on whether the campaign achieved desired results, whether it was able to reach to target audience or on any other statistic which will help in proving the results of the campaign.

iv. Overall experience: An entry should demonstrate frequently may be more or less than the sum of its parts. The overall experience shall include creativity, content, structure, visual design, functionality, and interactivity.

v. Strategy: An entry should demonstrate approach to the overall purpose and target audienc throughout each elements of the campaign.

v. Engagement: An entry in this category should have substantial engagement which adds to the overall purpose of the campaign and helps in achieving results.

The jury shall evaluate entries based on five criteria:

i. Creativity and Innovation: Jury shall focus on few elements of the campaign like content, design, technological innovation, and the unique nature of the underlying idea. It includes writing, music, and relevant use of animation, video or anything that communicates a creative marketing message.

ii. Execution of campaign: Jury shall focus on linking the purpose and effect between objectives, strategy and results of the campaign. Additional factors to be considered shall be effective use of resources, technology and implementation of the campaign.

iii. Results of campaign: Jury shall evaluate campaign on the basis of the results of the campaign based on whether the campaign achieved desired results, whether it was able to reach to target audience or on any other statistic which will help in proving the results of the campaign.

iv. Overall experience: An entry should demonstrate frequently may be more or less than the sum of its parts. The overall experience shall include creativity, content, structure, visual design, functionality, and interactivity.

v. Strategy: An entry should demonstrate approach to the overall purpose and target audience throughout each element of the campaign.

The jury shall evaluate entries based on five criteria:

i. Content, Creativity and Innovation: Jury shall focus on the content, creativity & innovation of the product or service being evaluated.

ii. Structure and Navigation: Jury shall focus on the structure and navigation in terms of framework of a mobile site, application or product designed.

iii. Functionality: Jury shall focus on the functionality of the product/service in terms of use of technology.

iv. Results/Performance: Jury shall evaluate entry on the basis of the results/performance of the project based on return on investment, benefits to individual users or to enterprises as a whole or any other statistic, which will help in proving the results of the campaign.

v. Overall Experience: : Jury shall evaluate the entry on the basis of the overall experience of the product/service that offers users the capabilities they desire.

The jury shall evaluate entries based on five criteria:

i. Innovation: The Jury shall focus on the technological innovation, pre-emptive approach, problem identification-problem solving measures and creative application of concepts in the programme/product/service.

ii. Ease of use/accessibility: The Jury shall focus on how convenient the programme/product/service has proved for the users in terms of accessibility and utility.

iii. Reach and engagement: How extensively did the programme/product/service reach out to the customers and engaged them, and how well was it accepted across various target groups.

iv. Strategy & Execution: How effective were the strategies and activities implemented in terms of marketing, operation and execution of the programme/product/service.

v. Results: Jury shall evaluate entry on the basis of the results of the project based on return on investment, benefits to individual users or to enterprises as a whole or any other statistic, which will help in proving the results of the product/service/programme.

Judging Criteria for First & Second Sub-Categories:

i. Quality of the Submission Package- Including the presentation, details filled in form, video demonstration, and any other materials submitted on the Website.

ii. Quality/Uniqueness of the Idea- Including creativity and originality of the use-case/voice experience.

iii. Implementation of the Idea- Including the customer experience, such as its ease-of-use and whether it performs as expected and includes fresh content.

iv. Customer Centricity and Impact- Including the extent to which the use-case can engage or entertain customers using voice.

Judging Criteria for Third to Thirteen Sub-Categories:

i. Robustness of technology: Jury will focus on the quality & endurance of the technology used. The entry must possess technology that is not easily affected by any threats and/or recovers quickly or holds up well under exceptional circumstances.

ii. Uniqueness of technology used: The entry must demonstrate a capacity to overperform & outdo any other innovation in the same space. It must be unique in its offering, its design & its experience.

iii. User Interface:  Ease of usage, interactivity, good quality audio and visuals, and overall user interface.

iv. Overall Experience:  An entry should demonstrate frequently may be more or less than the sum of its parts. The overall experience shall include creativity, content, structure, visual design, functionality, ease of use and interactivity

v. Results:  Jury shall evaluate entry on the basis of the results of the project based on return on investment, benefits to individual users or to enterprises as a whole or any other statistic, which will help in proving the results of the campaign.

Judging criteria:

i. Innovation: Jury will focus on the quality & endurance of the innovative technology introduced. The entry must demonstrate a capacity to overperform & outdo any other innovation in the same space. It must be unique in its offering, its design & its experience.

ii. Boosting intralogistics capabilities: The entry must show the important initiatives and actions directed towards boosting supplier ecosystem, development and integration of various platforms and stakeholders through use of tech and improvement in demand and distribution planning.

iii. Efficiency:  The entry must show important initiatives and actions that have been taken to increase cost efficiency and bringing ease in the operations by adoption of technology.

iv. Sustainability  An entry should demonstrate frequently, or may be more, or less than the sum of its parts, the focus of the organisation towards sustainable development and its focus towards the green logistics.

v. Up-skilling workforce:  Jury shall also evaluate entry on the basis of the results the organisation’s efforts that has impacted on the upskilling of worker and its initiatives resulted into the worker welfare. It includes initiatives and actions taken towards building an all-inclusive environment for all.

The jury shall evaluate entries based on five criteria:

i. Innovation:  The Jury shall focus on the technological innovation, preemptive approach, problem identification-problem solving measures and creative application of concepts in the programme/product/service.

ii. Ease of use/accessibility:  The Jury shall focus on how convenient the programme/product/service has proved for the users in terms of accessibility and utility.

iii. Reach and engagement:  How extensively did the programme/product/service reach out to the customers and engaged them, and how well was it accepted across various target groups.

iv. Strategy & Execution:  How effective were the strategies and activities implemented in terms of meticulous strategizing and execution of the programme/product/service.

v. Empowerment:  Jury shall evaluate entry on the basis of the results of the project based on the benefits to individual users or to enterprises as a whole, or any other statistic, which will help in proving the social and/or economic assistance meted out to the consumers through the use of the product/service/programme.

The jury shall evaluate entries based on five criteria:
